A complete engine overhaul of the Continental TSIO-550-C-C1B is currently in progress at a certified facility, including compliance with all applicable ADs and LTAs, dual FAA/EASA release, and a two-year engine warranty without flight-hour limitation. In addition, a propeller overhaul is in progress, and all engine fuel and oil hoses are being replaced. This work will be completed end of May 2026!

The aircraft was built in 1986 and has been operated by a total of four owners, including the current owner. It was initially registered in Switzerland as HB-PKD and transferred to the German register as D-EEKK in 2025. The ownership and operational history is fully documented, with records available in digital format.
Three historical events are documented in the records: an early lightning strike in 1986 without subsequent findings, a nose landing gear collapse in 1998 with component replacement and inspection, and a minor hangar-related propeller blade damage in 2012 while the engine was not running.
